PRINT A SCREEN

STEP 1: When you open any programme, press on "Print Screen" on your keyboard. The button should be somewhere in the right top corner of your keyboard.

STEP 2: Go to Microsoft Word and click on "Edit" and "Paste".

STEP 3: If you want to, print it.

MAKE YOUR COMPUTER FASTER

STEP 1: Go to "Control Panel" and double click on "Add/Remove Programmes." Delete any programmes you don't want. Make sure that 20% of your computer's hard disk space is free. You could also delete as many files as you want from C:\Windows\Fonts.

STEP 2: Click on "Start", "Programs", "Accessories", "Defragmenter". Defragment all of your hard drives, even if the computer tells you that you don't have to.

STEP 3: Open Microsoft RegClean or System Cleaner and "clean" your computer.

CHANGING YOUR SHUTDOWN & WAITING IMAGES

Welcome to Mustafa El Hoshey's Computer Tips (everyone claps for me.) Now, the first tip in the 3rd millennium is: CHANGING YOUR SHUT DOWN MESSAGES.

When you shut down your computer, it shuts down (daaah!). However, before you shutdown, two messages appear. The first one is: PLEASE WAIT WHILE YOUR STUPID COMPUTER SHUTS DOWN! (or something like that.) The second one is: IT'S NOW SAFE TO SWITCH OFF YOUR COMPUTER. Believe it or not; today you'll learn how to change these two messages!

MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL a brain (one brain cell is not enough.)

STEP1: Click Start (easy).

STEP2: Click Find (easier).

STEP3: Oh! I should have said that at the beginning: switch on your computer.

STEP4: Type logos.sys or logow.sys.

STEP5: Click Find Now.

STEP6: Wait.... OPTIONAL: Do your homework, have a cup of tea, watch TV, annoy your parents. By the time you've finished that, the computer would've found the file.

STEP7: Make a copy of the file into MY BRIEFCASE. STEP8: Rename the file to logos\w.BMP.

STEP9: Double click the file.

STEP10: When you find the image, change it. You could add pictures or write messages. It would be a good idea to write a joke.

STEP11: Make sure that you've saved your file in C:\Win95\System. If you want to use the old file, you should find in My Briefcase (unless you've ignored STEP7.)

STEP12: Don't forget to drink your milk and brush your teeth before you go to bed.
